Aerodesign Sensorboard Schematics Rev 4

  • Created hierarchical schematics for AeroDesign Sensorboard Rev 4 in Altium
  • Sensorboard has an IMU, CAN transceiver for an airspeed sensor, pressure sensor, MCU and more.

Overcooked Playing Robot

  • In a team of four, built two cooperative autonomous robots that follow black tape, pick up 3D printed food, assemble burgers, and hand off ingredients to each other.
  • Designed H-Bridge and IR sensing/filtering PCBs in Altium, and debugged using oscilloscopes.
  • Secured fourth place in the summer 2024 competition.

Reinforcement Learning Computer Vision Autonomous Robot

  • In a team of two, developed an autonomous driving program using reinforcement learning (RL) and a CNN for sign recognition in a simulated competition.
  • Implemented a Soft Actor Critic model and CNN using ROS, PyTorch, and Keras in a Gazebo environment to drive the robot and read sign values.

Technological Bottlenecks in Biosurveillance

  • Collaborated in a team of two to produce two comprehensive reports identifying bottlenecks in biosurveillance technologies.
  • Conducted interviews with scientists from institutions such as the Broad Institute, MIT, and Cambridge.
  • Reviewed and synthesized scientific literature to provide research recommendations aimed at advancing biosurveillance technologies for preventing the spread of infectious diseases.

Farnsworth Fusor

  • Worked on a Farnsworth Fusor for demonstrating nuclear fusion. Progress was hindered by vacuum system leak issues.
  • Secured $10,000 in funding from Emergent Ventures to support the project.
  • Ultimately paused the fusor project to pursue an internship at General Fusion and study Engineering Physics at UBC.
